Cookie policy
Last updated 28 October 2026
Cookies are small files a website saves in your browser. We use as few as we can. The only optional ones are Google Analytics cookies on this website, and they're only set if you click Accept.
On this website (getquokka.co.uk)
| Name | What it's for | How long |
|---|---|---|
| quokka-cookie-consent | Remembers whether you accepted Google Analytics, so we don't keep asking. Saved in your browser's storage, not sent to us. | Until you clear it |
| _ga, _ga_* | Google Analytics: counts visits and shows us which pages are useful. Optional, only set after you click Accept. | Up to 2 years |
We also use Vercel's analytics to count page views. It doesn't use cookies or follow you around other sites.
In the app (app.getquokka.co.uk)
The app only uses cookies and storage it needs to work, so it doesn't ask for consent. There's no analytics or advertising in the app.
| Name | What it's for | How long |
|---|---|---|
| sb-*-auth-token | Keeps you signed in | Until you sign out, refreshed while you use the app |
| site | Remembers which of your sites you're looking at | Until you close the browser |
| theme | Remembers if you chose dark mode | 1 year |
| demo | Only when trying the demo cafe: shows demo data instead of an account | 1 day |
| Browser storage | Saves a stock count in progress so you don't lose it if your signal drops, and remembers how you like to count | Until the count is saved, or you clear it |
Changing your choice
Use at the bottom of any page on this website to accept or turn off Google Analytics. You can also delete or block cookies in your browser settings, though the app needs its sign-in cookie to work.
