Net profit and running costs
What you really keep, every week.
Add your rent, bills and wages once. Rough figures are fine. Quokka takes them, VAT, ingredients and waste off your takings and shows what's left, plus what you need to take today to cover your costs.

How it works
Where every £1 went
VAT, ingredients, waste, rent and bills, wages and what's left, as pence in every pound you take.
Break-even for today
Home shows what you need to take today to cover the day's costs, and how yesterday did against it.
Weekly or monthly
The last eight weeks or whole months, for each site or all together.
Wages your way
Staff hours times an average rate, or your total wage bill. Leave out your own pay if what's left is what you take home.
Clearly an estimate
Worked out from your till, recipes, waste log and running costs. Before corporation tax and anything your accountant adds.
Questions
- Is this the same as my accounts?
- No. It's an estimate to give you a feel for each week, worked out from your sales, recipes, waste and the running costs you enter. Your accountant's figures will differ a little, and corporation tax isn't included.
- Do I need exact figures for rent and bills?
- No. Rough monthly figures are fine, and you can change them any time in Settings.
- Is VAT taken off?
- Only if you're VAT registered. You set that once in Settings.
